Mawjaw

An expanding village in China decided to drain part of a swamp to dry the land and make room for new housing development.  Unfortunately, they discovered a huge stone slab with odd runes on it's surface.  Removing the slab unleashed Mawjaw the kaiju!  This big head brute began chomping apart the village until a local hero dropped the arcane slab atop Mawjaw's head via helicopter, making it return to its peaceful hibernation at the bottom of the swamp.  But if anyone disturbs it's slumber, Mawjaw will return to punish them!

Built like a tank, Mawjaw simply wades into battle like a monster bulldozer, plowing into buildings and structures and biting anything with it's oversized jaws and head.  It's armor is exceedingly strong and resistant to most conventional weaponry.  Any other giant monsters willing to fight Mawjaw would have trouble dealing with this pugnacious monsters straight forward battle plan.


Mawjaw is based on the Platysternon megacephalum aka The Big Headed Turtle.  I wanted him to look armored but not too garish and gave him a nice underbite to enhance his brutal and pugnacious nature.
